At the beginning of 2023, the UCLouvain brewing unit (LIBST - INBr) is proud to present the new brewing and bottling line that will be available for students and research from the next academic year.
This ambitious project is the result of a great collaboration between the faculty of bioingineering, the LIBST institute, GTPL and the industrial partners who continue to believe and invest in teaching and research at UCLouvain.
The management interface of the automated part is intuitive while the manual part is easy to access and logical for an easy use by the numerous students of the complementary master in brewing engineering who will be trained on this equipment. The quality of the installation also allows the research technicians to produce a high quality and reproducible standard wort and/or finished product while respecting the quality standards imposed by a university research unit.
The COENCO production line is completed by a latest generation filling line from KRONES. The filling block has been specially designed to meet the expectations of the specific complementary master in brewing engineering and the industrial research of the INBr lab. UCLouvain can be proud of this complete didactic and research package that is now at its disposal.
The production management is completed by new quality control equipment of the latest generation thanks to the support of a patronage of the first brewer in the world (AB InBev).”
