Article 12 – Insurance
The lessor signed a fire/water damage insurance policy. Given that not all the relevant risks are covered in a personal policy, the policy purchased by the lessor will cover the lessee’s rental liability, his/her personal effects, and theft by unlawful entry (when formal complaint is made to a responsible authority). The lessee always pays the premium. In addition, the lessee is strongly advised to purchase civil liability insurance.
