Welcome to UCLouvain

It’s not always easy to navigate a new campus, especially when you ‘land’ from abroad! UCLouvain knows this, therefore it offers reception services to help the many international students who choose to study at UCLouvain. Several university departments can help them settle in.

Upon arrival on the Louvain-la-Neuve and Woluwe campuses, a team of students from the International Students Council (CGEI) is available to answer questions and direct new students to appropriate UCLouvain departments, which guide them through initial administrative steps (registration with the municipality and health insurance agency, housing assistance, etc.).

In Louvain-la-Neuve, these reception services are currently available at Inforville (tourism office), located next to the train station agent windows, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, through 26 September. A 24-hour hotline is also available until mid-October: +32 (0) 473/ 95 32 71.

In addition, in Louvain-La-Neuve an International Students Day is offered Friday 13 September from 10 am to 4 pm, where students can learn about university services. On the programme: information booths, multiple activities, as well as the opportunity to taste Belgian specialties and explore the city. (Where: Aula Magna, Foyer du Lac, Place Raymond Lemaire 1, 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve).

Meanwhile, in Woluwe, a Welcome and Information Day will take place Friday 13 September from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Various university departments take advantage of this event to present themselves and what they do, so this is the ideal opportunity to learn about their services and student life. (Where: Hall Auditoire Simonart, niveau (‘level’) 0, Avenue E. Mounier 71, 1200 Woluwe St. Lambert).
