In collaboration with the Service de gestion technique du patrimoine de Louvain-la-Neuve (GTPL), the MOCA platform ensures the analyses of :
- produced water
- water from the catchments, tanks and piezometers of the Louvain-la-Neuve and Louvain-en-Woluwe sites, water that supplies the academic buildings of UCLouvain
- wastewater
To meet the requirements of the environmental permit and the resulting tax,
a type A approval (physico-chemical analyses) from Wallonia and the Société Publique de Gestion de l'Eau (SPGE) is required for wastewater analyses.
MOCA has just renewed this approval for a further period of 5 years.
Far from being a simple formality, this required the compilation of various information: the platform's organisation chart, its competences, the plans of its premises, its analytical equipment, its analysis management and quality control systems, as well as its participation in inter-laboratory tests organised by the Institut Scientifique de Service Public (ISSEP).
