LEUSL2051 — Interdisciplinary seminar "Rethinking Europe" (taught in English)
A relatively small group of 24 students coming from all over Europe participated in an interdisciplinary seminar “rethinking Europe” that focused on different ways in which debate in Europe could be hindered and enhanced (through processes that one could respectively call 'depoliticization' and 'repoliticization'). Values played a central role in this seminar as they both invite debate but are also used to foreclose debate. Every week new perspectives were added which allowed students to debate with each other on this subject. In the last three sessions they presented and discussed their own papers in the form of a mini-conference.
