Civil and environmental engineering

IMMC

The group "Civil and Environmental Engineering" is part of the "Institute of Mechanics, Materials, and Civil Engineering".  It is composed of 4 full time academics, 17 part time lecturers with a main activity in construction companies, 3 teaching assistants, a variable number of researchers and an administrative staff.

Research activities are detailed here and concern several fields related to structural engineering, geomechanics and hydraulics.

Teaching activities concern mainly the degrees “Civil Engineer in construction” and “Civil Engineer architect”, with numerous courses related to structural engineering, geotechnics, hydraulics, and several design studios. We graduate an average of 35 civil engineers in construction a year.

Our teaching and research activities are closely linked to the LEMSC laboratory, where a large panel of experimental activities can be led by a team of 15 engineers and technicians.
