Together with oncologists and pulmonologists, the 2IP staff fine-tuned a protocol for customized multiplex immunofluorescence stainings on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples followed by image collection with a ZEISS Axioscan digital slide scanner.
Combination of signal amplification (TSA) with carefully selected fluorescence filtersets results in the fast generation of digital images with up to 7 colors on the same section (6 antigens + nuclear dye).
These images are ready-to-analyze without the need for image post-processing, such as spectral unmixing or tissue alignment.
This technology is equipping researchers for high-throughput, spatial biology analyses, such as the immune microenvironment of tumors.
