This event gives IREC PhD students the unique opportunity to network with other IREC PhD students, to collaborate, and to share experiences and knowledge.
Poster sessions take place as well as oral presentations, for students to gain experience communicating and sharing their projects. It is encouraged to have a look at the work of your peers, especially the poster sessions.
Prizes will be given at the end of the day for the best poster and oral presentations by our jury members. You will also be invited to vote for the best poster and oral presentation to award the "public" prizes. The prize ceremony will be held at the end of the day, which will be closely followed by the PhD Night, where we can continue to get to mingle in a more casual setting.

IREC PhD Day 2024 will take place on 4th October 2024 at Maisin Auditiorium, Avenue Emmanuel Mounier, 51, 1200, Bruxelles.
Registration of PhD students is required both online and on the day of the event prior to starting:
- At 08:30 at the registration desk, Maisin Auditorium entrance.
- Student/ID cards are needed for every participant for security reasons.
- Identification badges will be distributed at registration and will have to be returned at the end of the day.

09:00-10:15 First session
10:20-10:50 Coffee break and first poster & sponsors' session
10:50-12:15 Second session
12:15-13:50 Lunch break and second poster & sponsors' session
13:50-14:00 Group picture under UCLouvain panel
14:00-15:30 Third session
15:30-16:00 Coffee break and third poster & sponsors' session
16:00-17:30 Fourth session
19:00- PhD Night
Oral Presentations:
- Presentation time will be limited to 10 minutes + 5 minutes of discussion.
- We shall strictly adhere to the time limit due to the tight schedule of the day.
Poster Presentations:
- Posters can be maximum A0 size (84.1cm x 118.9cm).
- Each poster will remain installed on its assigned panel throughout the day.
- Authors are expected to be at their posters during their assigned session (the jury will pass by the posters during the different sessions).
- Presentation time will be limited to 3 minutes + 2 minutes of discussion.
- Presenters will be provided with materials required to fix their posters at their assigned board.
- Please arrive on time to install your poster on the assigned panel.
