Submission rules
The Revue philosophique de Louvain, in order to provide a tool dedicated to researchers, mostly publishes texts that have been “spontaneously” submitted, whether in the form of single articles or articles compiled by a scientific coordinator. Researchers are free to choose the themes they wish to cover.
Articles and thematic issues may be submitted as follows:
• The Revue philosophique de Louvain welcomes original, unpublished texts in French or English, in any field, discipline or method of philosophy. These texts must be sent to the editorial staff of the in the form of a file, preferably in .RTF format. Articles must include a French abstract of no more than ten lines at the end of the document. In order to ensure maximum readability, a printed copy or PDF document may be sent to the editorial office. The copy or PDF does not replace the .RTF format. In the case of a project for a thematic issue, the coordinator is invited to contact the editorial team in advance with a publication project.
• Authors will receive an acknowlegement of receipt. The journal proceeds to a double-blind peer review. A list of invited referees is given each year. As on average, the evaluation time does not exceed four months from the date of acknowledgement of receipt. Articles submitted as part of thematic issues are subject to the same evaluation procedure as articles submitted individually.
• Authors are invited to submit only one text at a time. Once a text has been published by the Revue, it may not be republished, in whole or in part, without permission from the editorial board. Unpublished texts are not returned to the authors.
Authors are kindly requested to download the Instructions for Authors, read them carefully and conform their texts to the required standards before sending an article to the editorial office. If you have any questions about any part of these instructions, please do not hesitate to contact the editorial staff
