Research activities in the division of Materials and Process Engineering


Research activities in IMAP combine experimental studies and detailed modeling to improve fundamental knowledge of the behavior of materials and processes and to develop novel and advanced materials and processes. Based on a life cycle analysis, a proper material selection and the development of sustainable processes are aimed at.

Research in Materials engineering focuses on (1) Thin films, coatings, electrochemistry, microsystems; (2) High performance metallic alloys; and (3) Composites, hybrids, architectured materials and assembly.
