The Human Rights Centre was established in the summer of 1968, on the occasion of the International Year of Human Rights.
The mission of the centre is to promote reflection in the field of national and international protection of human rights.
To this end, it carries out scientific research, educational activities and services to the community.
The Human Rights Centre also participates in teaching in the framework of the diploma in specialized studies in human rights, organized by the University of Namur, the Université Saint-Louis de Bruxelles and the Catholic University of Louvain.
