The internal decision-making instances consist of the President, the Board and the Council. The Board meets once a month during the academic year. It is chaired by the President of the Institute, Valérie Swaen. The Council, chaired by Frank Janssen, is the General Assembly and is composed of all faculty members and representatives of the scientific and administrative staff. The Board provides an annual report and budget to the Council and it is also the instance where the questions and concerns of the members of the institute are brought up to and discussed.
