Among its various tools, researchers’ career development is a central element of the Euraxess initiative
At UCLouvain, the Centre d’Information et d’Orientation (CIO) assists researchers with matters concerning their career, their employability, the transition with non-faculty jobs, not only by collective (workshops, trainings) but also by individual guidance (jobcoaching), on demand. UCLouvain benefits also from the experience gathered during the ongoing project “PhDs@Work”, funded by the Walloon Region and focused on fostering employability and opening career paths for PhD candidates and early-staged researchers.
UCLouvain has bolstered all the services offer to its PhD students under the heading of “Valo Doc Louvain”. These services span from the beginning of the doctoral student’s path to conferral of the PhD and even beyond, as the university supports PhD-holder’s search for employment.
A list of all the courses and training activities available at UCLouvain are regrouped in its Study Programme.
