Accomodation

We strongly invite students to anticipate and find accommodation before arriving in Brussels. Finding accommodation is the sole responsibility of the student.

The University offers accommodation on the Saint-Louis Bruxelles site to exchange students who wish to live on campus.
You can visit this page to know more about our residence.
If you plan to arrive during the weekend, in the evening or overnight, please contact the housing department to prepare for your arrival.

Private Housing

If you prefer, you can also look for private accommodation. Here are some tips to avoid fraud or scams:

  • Check that the address exists and that the building houses student accommodation; if necessary, try to get in touch with the owners via social networks.
  • Request direct contact with the owner to find out more about him/her and the accommodation.
  • Don't pay anything until you've signed a proper rental contract.
  • Check whether the landlord uses the recommended student housing lease (PLE), which protects tenants (it's not a requirement).
  • Make sure you have a lease, otherwise this could be problematic when registering with the city’s foreigners' registry.
  • The landlord may ask for a rental guarantee. Be aware that this may not exceed an amount equivalent to two or three months' rent (article of law).

Via plateforme Logement Etudiant or other rental websites

The Plateforme Logement Etudiant (Mykot) is the preferred partner of universities and higher education institutions for student accommodation in Brussels.
