What are the requirements to study at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels as an exchange student?

  1. Your home institution must have a mobility agreement specific to the Saint-Louis Brussels campus
  2. You must match the language requirements: B1 in French and/or English (B2 for law courses) depending on your selection of courses

1. Nomination

The partner university must nominate the student via Mobility Online. A link is sent to the partner universities the first day of each nomination period:

UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels has its own Mobility Online platform, separate from UCLouvain. The nomination must be made to the correct campus.

For any nominations to another UCLouvain campus, please contact our colleagues in charge of the other faculties.

2. Application

Once the nomination has been reviewed and accepted by our International Relations Office, the student will be notified by email.

The following documents need to be submitted onto Mobility Online to complete the application process.

  • Passport or ID picture
  • Copy of your passport or ID card
  • Transcript of records
  • Language certificate
    • We do accept all types of certifications as long as it lists clearly the level of the student.
    • The student must submit two language certificates if they intend to take courses in both English and French.
  • Health insurance or European Health insurance
  • Learning Agreement
Deadline to submit the application  
1st semester May 31st
2nd semester November 15th

If the deadline is not met, the application will automatically be rejected.

3. Enrollment at UCLouvain

Once the application has been accepted by the International Relations Office, the students will automatically be enrolled to the university in the month preceding the start of the mobility period.

Note that this procedure only applies to students enrolling to the Saint-Louis Bruxelles campus. Other students must refer to the procedure in place for their respective campuses.
