On June 18th, Anne Spinewine received the Utrecht University Award For Excellence in Pharmacy Practice. This award is given to persons who have demonstrated excellence either in pharmacy practice or pharmaceutical sciences, or in both.
Anne Spinewine was selected as the 2021 laureate for the following reasons: her capacity to combine clinical pharmacy practice and research; her contribution to advanced knowledge on clinical risk management by pharmacist, appropriate use of medicines in older people and collaborative pharmacy practice; and the development of a strong and highly relevant research group (i.e. the Clinical Pharmacy Research Group at the Louvain Drug Research Institute https://uclouvain.be/en/research-institutes/ldri/clinical-pharmacy-clip.html ) with publications in major international journals.
