Food & Drinks
Coffee breaks and refreshments will be provided during the conference, with ‘sweet’ options for all (incl. vegan, gluten-free choices).
For lunch on Thursday, Louvain-la-Neuve offers a wide range of options for conference participants, from simple sandwiches to more refined ones, from savory (salty or sugary) waffles to hearty burgers, from organic soups to pizzerias, or cozy restaurants. All participants will find something that suits their dietary requirements, taste and budget.
There is one option for lunch every 20 meters on campus in the city center.
An optional conference dinner is planned on Wednesday (registration to/payment for the dinner will be possible closer to the conference date).
Accommodation
There are two hotels on campus (within close walking distance to the conference rooms) :

Ibis Styles, Louvain-la-Neuve
Other options (like Airbnb ones) are also available in the area. If you opt for one of these, please check distance, commuting options and accessibility (bus lines, taxis, bikes, etc.).

By train
Louvain-la-Neuve is easily accessible by train and its train station is located in the city centre.
If you are travelling to Louvain-la-Neuve by train, be sure to ask for a ticket to Louvain-la-Neuve Université and NOT to Louvain (or Leuven in Dutch), which is a different city situated 30kms away from Louvain-la-Neuve.
From any Belgian station, take the train towards Ottignies, a station situated on the Brussels-Namur line. Get off at Ottignies station and change trains to continue to Louvain-la-Neuve Université (a short 7-min train ride). Some trains go straight from Brussels to Louvain-la-Neuve but they usually take more time.

The conference venue is very close to the station.
By car
From Brussels
• Take the E411 motorway towards Namur-Luxembourg
• Take exit 8a marked Louvain-la-Neuve
• Park your vehicle in one of the underground pay parking areas (e.g. follow the signs ‘parking L’Esplanade’, Boulevard de Wallonie, or ‘Parking Grand Place’, Boulevard André Oleffe.
From Namur
• Take the E411 motorway towards Brussels

If you are staying at the Ibis Hotel, free parking is available there. If you are staying at the Martin’s hotel, an underground parking area is available (please contact the hotel for details).
By bus
Buses from TEC serve Louvain-la-Neuve from Ottignies, Wavre and some other neighbouring cities (line 20). Timetables are available via TEC website.
Walking from the bus stop Gare d’autobus
• Go to the city center (place des Doyens, Théâtre Jean Vilar, rue du Sablon, Grand-Rue, and Voir du Roman Pays)
By plane
From Brussels National Airport (Zaventem)
The easiest option is to take/share a taxi (but it is more expensive than the train – approx. 90€). Always ask for/check the price before getting into the taxi!
The cheapest option is to take the train (approx. 18€).
Brussels National Airport is linked to Brussels by a train service. Ask for a ticket to Louvain-la-Neuve Université and get off at the station Brussels North. Take the Brussels-Namur line, get off at Ottignies and change to a train to Louvain-la-Neuve, or if you are taking the direct train from Brussels North, get off at Louvain-la-Neuve.
From Brussels South Charleroi Airport (Gosselies)
The easiest option is to take/share a taxi (but it is more expensive than the train – approx. 90€). Always ask for/check the price before getting into the taxi!
At the airport, go to the Ryanair desk and ask for a combined bus/train ticket to Louvain-la-Neuve. Take the bus to Charleroi-South station, from where you can continue by train to Louvain-la-Neuve Université station.
