After the 2016 conference hosted by the National Bank of Belgium, the 16th meeting of the Belgian Financial Research Forum (BFRF) will take place at the National Bank of Belgium (Brussels) on June 1, 2018. For the first time this research forum will be jointly organized by HEC-Liège, KU Leuven, UCLouvain, Universiteit Antwerpen, Universiteit Gent, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Université de Mons, Université de Namur, Vlerick Business School, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. This forum provides a unique opportunity to discuss ongoing research in one of the parallel sessions and in a more informal way during the breaks or over lunch.
Papers for presentation from all fields of finance are welcome. Junior and senior researchers are encouraged to present their work. We will do our best to make sure that senior researchers will keep up the BFRF tradition by attending the conference and giving their younger colleagues guidance and practical advice. We will give particular attention to the allocation of discussions based on the research specialty of the discussants, so that presenters will get the best comments on their work.
Keynote Speech
This year, the keynote speech will be given by one of the world’s leading figures in finance, Prof. Darrell Duffie, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, and professor by courtesy, Department of Economics, Stanford University. His presentation will be on "Post crisis bank regulations and the liquidity of financial markets".
