Neuroscience of sensory systems, or neuroscience of our senses, how sensory inputs are detected and processed by the nervous system, and how we thereby experience the world through our senses. Within our institute, several research groups are developing a multidisciplinary approach to study sensory systems, from basic cellular and molecular transduction processes, to high-order perceptual processes such as the discrimination of faces.
