Add an embargo period

biul |

Before making your data available to the scientific community and/or the general public, you may wish to define an embargo period.

An embargo period is a limited period of time after which your data will be available. There might be several reasons for delaying your data release, for example :

  • an embargo period is provided for in the consortium agreement, funding contract, patent, etc.
  • having a period of time during which only you and your partners can publish using your data.

Consider how long your embargo period will last (if any) and set a clear publication date. Communicate this embargo period to the repository you have chosen.
