Publish and share your data

biul |

Research funders and scientific journals are increasingly asking researchers to share their data in "Open" or "FAIR" mode.

There are many reasons for this. On the one hand, the aim is to keep the data accessible and (re)usable in the long term, beyond the end of the research project. Secondly, the aim is to guarantee the reproducibility of research results and to increase their visibility and accessibility to the scientific community and to society as a whole.

However, not all data has to be open. The principle of open data is "as open as possible, as closed as necessary". Ethical, legal and commercial aspects must be taken into account.

Sharing data in Open or FAIR mode also means choosing a reliable data repository and defining the conditions of access and re-use (licence).

This section is devoted to these issues.
