Biomass to Energy

The ENERBIO project aims to develop expertise in the Walloon Region in the generation of bio-fuels (liquid and gaseous) from different biomass sources, and their valorization in energy systems (e.g. residential cogeneration) and to improve carbon footprint of particularly energy-intensive processes (e.g. glass melting). The objective of our team is to control the conversion of fermentable, high moisture biomasses, not adapted to thermochemical conversion processes, into basic molecules to produce new types of biofuels.
