Coming and going
The train is the best method of transportation to arrive in Louvain-la-Neuve since the train station is located right in the heart of the urban center.
The line that will bring you is the Brussels – Namur – Luxembourg line. A transfer awaits you in Ottignies to the “Louvain-la-Neuve University” terminal, the only train station serving this special line !

Twenty lines for the bus serve Louvain-la-Neuve and Ottignies, to and from all of Walloon Brabant and Brussels. The main stop in Louvain-la-Neuve is the TEC Bus Station located below the Place Rabelais and the Leclerq parking lot.

By car, highway E411 Brussels - Namur, exit 8a Louvain-la-Neuve, to reach the urban center. The road network of Louvain-la-Neuve is made up of narrow and long roads to travel. 6,000 parking spots are available under the pedestrian center, but you will have to pay for them. Free parking is available 24/7 in periphery, refer to the maps for "Les parkings Malins" (clever parking).
By coach with a group
A specific parking lot for coachs is designated for groups (only the time to get out and in), below the Aula Magna. A footbridge leads directly to the Grand-Square. Coachs can then park for free along the Boulevard de Lauzelle and Boulevard Baudouin ler.
Access: coming from E411, take exit 6 for Ottignies - Wavre (N238). Proceed in the direction of Ottignies LLN, then Nivelles - Mont-St-Guibert - Louvain-la-Neuve. Take the Louvain-la-Neuve Center exit, which runs alongside the lake. The parking spot can be found just before passing under the urban center slab.
Louvain-la-Neuve being a pedestrian-friendly city, there is no permanent stationing of taxis. For those who must go to the outskirts of the city and do not wish to walk, it is best to take a taxi from the station Ottignies.
