Cognition refers to the mental and cerebral processes by which knowledge is acquired, remembered and processed. The institute comprises several research teams exploring various aspects of normal and impaired cognition, including attention, language, memory, theory of mind, executive functioning, conceptual representation and numerical, spatial and temporal cognition. Multidisciplinary approaches are developed combining behavioral measures, non-invasive brain stimulation approaches, neuroimaging, and neuropsychological studies in patients.
