Philosophy
In a fast-changing society, individuals are called upon into thinking about whatever situation they find themselves in, if not actively contributing to deliberate change
This is the point at which philosophy comes into the picture, bringing our thinking and actions back into line with their underlying assumptions. Philosophy can address fundamental questions, examine and question them, leading to new approaches, meanings and actions.
Ethics
Ethics is a broad branch of philosophy whose particular object is to study questions relating to human action (“what individuals should do”).
More precisely, ethics aims to define, clarify and systematize the principles and values that should guide the conduct of individual or collective agents (individuals, states, companies, universities, etc.), and to determine their validity. In this way, ethics makes it possible to morally criticize problematic systems and actions, and to identify desirable alternatives.
