Philosophes Médiévaux

Louvain-La-Neuve

The Philosophes Médiévaux collection was first launched in 1948 by Professor Fernand Van Steenberghen.

Its purpose was to give effective scientific visibility to high-quality contributions to medieval philosophy, which often struggled to find editors. Monographs, symposium reports, collective works and critical reviews are all welcome, in French, English or German. The collection remains very much vibrant and, as it did in the past, serves as a resource for research in medieval philosophy. As the confines of the Middle Ages are not strictly delimited from a philosophical perspective, the collection welcomes works which, according to their subject matter or authors, would fall within the scope of Late Antiquity or the Renaissance according to other classifications.
