Philosophy of Law

Louvain-La-Neuve

The philosophy unit (PHIGOV) of the Center for Philosophy of Law (CPDR) conducts research on two main fronts. These two axes are defined as follows:

  • An epistemological axis focused on the relationships between the theory of norms and the theory of action, in connection with the foundational hypothesis of the CPDR, namely the proceduralization of norms;

  • An axis oriented towards the critical observation of practical processes, considered as sites of emergence for new subjectivities and new forms of knowledge.
