LSM students and staff teamed-up to raise 5K€ and support students in difficulty

Louvain-La-Neuve, Mons

During 6 weeks, LSM students and staff teamed-up to raise 5K€ and support students in difficulty through the TEAMINGUP2021 challenge.

Organised with atlasGO, the Student Council (BDE) and the financial support of our corporate partners Degroof Petercam et de KONE, 234 students and staff spent over 4.000 hours walking, running, meditating, cooking, gardening and more for the good cause. Almost 4.000 activities and 18.500 kms were counted.

The amount raised through our joint efforts, 5K€ in total, will be given to our student assistance services in both Louvain-la-Neuve and Mons. They will use it in order to support food assistance projects on each campus: l'Épicerie des Vents du Sud in Louvain-la-Neuve, and the Student Food Service plus a new social grocery store in Mons. Our Dean, Per J.Agrell, gave the envelopes to their representants, Florence Vanderstichelen (Louvain-la-Neuve) and Maxime Lahou (Mons), in the presence of Lorène Verhaever, Jérôme Berg and Justine Crespin (BDE).

We warmly thank all participants for their involvement and support, making this project a success!
