Le mot du Doyen

Louvain-La-Neuve, Mons

Dear LSM Community,

With this new academic year starting, the Management team and I would like to share two main action points for the following months.

Firstly, in light of the upcoming EQUIS evaluation, it has been the opportunity for the faculty to clarify and specify its new strategic objectives aimed to foster “excellence and ethics in management”. These objectives include promoting innovative teaching practices and tools to enhance the educational journey and improving student engagement. LSM also aims to strengthen its international identity through inclusive actions and build robust connections with diverse profit and non-profit organisations. Additionally, the school plans to keep on integrating ERS (Ethics, Responsibility, and Sustainability) principles into its curricula, research, and external relations, while also supporting the wellbeing and success of both students and staff.

Secondly, the faculty would like to strengthen its partnership with BMI Executive Institute, who celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. On this occasion, last month, I had the opportunity to express my great thanks to the BMI organisers and feel proud that is one of the founders of their joint programmes, and to a broader extent to be part of this managerial and humanist adventure.

These two initiatives reflect our commitment to making LSM a key actor in responsible management education, both nationally and internationally. As we welcome many new academics, let's embrace these initiatives with enthusiasm, ensuring another year of collective engagement and shared success at LSM
