Spotlight on CEMS corporate activities @LSM

Louvain-La-Neuve, Mons

1. Skills Seminar

During smart week, LSM had the privilege to count on the expertise from prestigious CEMS Corporate Partners to provide to CEMS students seminars about Negotiation (Deloitte), Case study (A.T. Kearney) and MBTI (McKinsey). A warm thank you to for their collaboration and commitment to the CEMS Programme!

2. Companies presentations & personal encounters

Eager to provide qualitative and interactive encounters between CEMS Corporate Partners and CEMS students, LSM welcomes, in collaboration with the CEMS Club each semester various networking activities on the campus.

October 13th: Cheese & Wine with GSK and PWC
PWC (specialized in audit, insurance, tax and consulting services) presented all their Careers Opportunities. GSK (specialist in R&D in the three primary areas of Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare) provided information about their careers and introduced also their Future Leaders Programme.

November 15th: Microsoft and Whirlpool
CEMS students could attend to a presentation and a networking drink from both companies. They heard about their missions and values but most importantly about their Graduate Programs: - Whirlpool: the Fast Track’s program consisting in 3 years, in three different countries and positions (apply at https://lnkd.in/gFXu7bP) - Microsoft: the MACH’s program, a two-year development experience with abroad opportunities (apply at: careers.microsoft.com). We also wish a warm welcome to Microsoft that just joined CEMS as a Corporate Partner!

3. CEMS Career Forum 2016

This year again, the CEMS Career Forum was a huge success, gathering together more than 1000 students, 41 Corporate Partners during 2 days in Vienna. Providing one of the best occasion to access to simulations of interviews, skill seminar, develop networking and create opportunities in terms of jobs and internship.

In parallel, CEMS Corporate Managers from Academic Members and alumni also meet to exchange best practices, participate to workshops and strengthen their network. Considered as “the CEMS benchmark for skills seminars”, LSM was asked to provide a workshop on this topic and the interactions with the Corporate Partners.

This was also the occasion to promote LSM Careers Events (Boost) and to stay connected with our CEMS LSM Alumni who are achieving an international career to CEMS Corporate Partners, like Carole Dao for Daymon in Lisbon and Jonathan Hostens for McKinsey in New-York.
