Student international online collaboration across continents

Louvain-La-Neuve, Mons

As part of the Louvainternational year, students of Professor Caroline Ducarroz's marketing course (LSM) conducted a marketing study on youth behaviour on social media through an innovative pedagogical approach: 51 of our students and 32 students from The Appalachian State University (North Carolina, USA), divided into mixed groups, carried out their project by meeting virtually thanks to the new rooms of the Learning Center of the UCLouvain FUCaM Mons.

The objective of such a project is to broaden the horizons of our students. They are learning to collaborate online, a practice that is becoming more and more frequent in the professional world. They also discover how to manage a group of people who speak a different language, have a different culture and therefore a different way of working.
