The EQUIS peer review team was present at the Louvain School of Management from Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 April. During their visit, they met representatives from all parts of the School: Dean, Vice-Deans, Programmes Directors, Professors, Students, Alumni, Corporate Partners…They also visited UCL Mons Campus.
The Louvain School of Management has been EQUIS accredited since 2006, and this is the 5th reaccreditation that the school goes through. The accreditation process involves preparation of a Self-Assessment Report explaining how the School meets the standards and criteria set out by EQUIS, and demonstrating this through case studies and other supporting evidence. The written report is followed by a visit by a Peer Review Team who meet with faculty, staff and students to assess. The EQUIS accreditation is granted for either three or five years.
The accreditation team, appointed by EFMD (European Foundation of Management Development) who award the EQUIS accreditation, arrived at the Louvain School of Management Tuesday 19 April to review the functioning of the School and its programmes: types of courses, quality of the programmes, the students and the teachers, etc., were closely examined.
The Equis peer review team consists of:
- Prof. Susan Hart: Professor of Marketing, Associate Deputy Principal, University of Strathclyde (UK)
- Mr. Fernando Fragueiro: President of Austral University and Former Dean, IEA Business School (Argentina)
- Dr. Thomas Froehlicher: Dean and Director General, Kedge Business School (France)
- Dr. Achim Wolter: Head of People and Organisational Development, Group Human Resources Baloise Group (Switzerland)
We expect to receive the final decision from EQUIS in June 2016.
