Le groupe de recherche “SMAG” (Social Movements in the Global Age - Cridis) a le plaisir de vous inviter à la conférence de John Krinsky qui aura lieu le 10 mars 2023 de 11h à 12h30 au B334 (Bâtiment Doyen) :
“Developing a learning agenda for movements: teaching and learning in activist contexts in and out of the university”
Social movements and movement organizing present numerous opportunities for learning, not least about systems of oppression and the limits of political engagement. But other opportunities for learning exist, too, some lending themselves for more structured research, others for more dialogical, collective inquiry. This talk will reflect on several experiences of structuring movement learning, as well as on pressing, often-neglected areas of movement inquiry.
John Krinsky est directeur des « Community Change Studies » au sein du département des Sciences Politiques du City College of New York. Il est spécialiste des questions de travail en contexte néolibéral et des mouvements sociaux urbains (voir par exemple son livre «Free Labor: Workfare and the Contested Language of Neoliberalism »).
La conférence sera suivie d’un moment pour discuter en toute convivialité.
