The faculty is very pleased to welcome six new members of academic staff. We asked three questions to learn more about them.
1. What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself as a Professor?
2. What is one of the values you wish to impart to LSM students?
3. What attracted you to our faculty, and what are you most looking forward to in the upcoming academic year?
Karim Barigou
1. As a professor, I would describe myself as curious, dedicated, and collaborative. Curiosity drives my research and teaching, dedication keeps me committed to my students and projects, and collaboration allows me to grow through partnerships with colleagues and students alike.
2. One of the key values I wish to impart to LSM students is critical thinking. In actuarial sciences and management, it's essential not only to master technical skills but also to approach problems analytically and question assumptions. I want my students to develop the ability to assess situations from multiple perspectives and apply their knowledge in a thoughtful, adaptable way, which will help them navigate complex, real-world challenges.
3. What attracted me to the Louvain School of Management (LSM) is its strong emphasis on delivering high-quality, student-centered education. LSM's commitment to developing well-rounded professionals, combining technical expertise with ethical and leadership skills, really resonates with my own values as a teacher.
In the upcoming academic year, I’m most excited to work closely with students, helping them think critically and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges. I look forward to creating an engaging environment where we can learn from one another, fostering both their growth and my own as we tackle complex problems together.

Caroline Demeyere
1. Collaborative, creative, and inclusive.
2. Solidarity and inclusion are more than just research topics for me. I strive to make them the driving forces behind my teaching practice, and they are at the heart of both my professional and personal journey.
3. I am excited to join LSM because it embodies a truly humanistic approach to researching and teaching management sciences, bringing together multiple disciplines and with a strong emphasis on pedagogical innovation. I am looking forward to meeting students and new colleagues, teaching CSR, relational competencies, and research methods this semester, and supervising master’s theses.
Maxence Postaire
1. Curious, passionate, dedicated.
2. One of the values I wish to impart to LSM students is reflexivity. In the context of environmental challenges, reflexivity is essential for understanding the complex and interconnected nature of ecological systems and organizations. 3. I was attracted to Louvain School of Management by its strong reputation for academic excellence, innovative research, and commitment to integrating ethics, responsibility, and sustainability into the core of the school’s mission and strategy. Additionally, the vibrant academic community and the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues who are leaders in their fields were significant draws for me.
