The thematic group of Translational and Clinical Immunology is composed of researchers with a daily experience in the clinical management of autoimmune and auto-inflammatory diseases, in areas of pneumonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and rheumatology.
This clinical link is reflected in the importance of clinical studies (academic or sponsored) conducted within the thematic.
A particular attention is given to the clinimetry of the studied diseases and the systematic collection for biobanking purposes of biological samples. This strategy leads to the implementation of prospective translational studies whose impact is amplified by the continuous development of the technological platforms.
Finally, the members of the Group display also a very good expertise in animal models of the studied diseases, making possible to test pathogenic hypotheses and therapeutic interventions in ad hoc pre-clinical situations.
