Multilingual education through a sociomaterial lens.
The symposium will be organized at UCLouvain (the organization team will include members from the five universities supporting the candidate).
The symposium will explore the complex interplay between society, materials, and technology in the context of multilingual education. Bringing together scholars, educators, and practitioners from diverse disciplines, we delve into how sociomaterial perspectives can
enhance understanding and improve practices within multilingual settings. Participants will engage in discussions that cover theoretical frameworks, innovative pedagogical strategies, and empirical research findings. The aim will be to foster a deeper comprehension of how
material and social forces co-construct the educational experiences of multilingual learners, aiming for actionable insights that can be applied in educational settings worldwide.
