About ReCIPE

At UCLouvain, researchers working on process engineering develop their activities under the umbrella of different research institutes.

Process engineering focuses on the design, operation, control, and optimization of chemical, physical, and biological processes. Process engineering encompasses a vast range of industries, such as chemical, petrochemical, energy, agriculture, mineral processing, advanced material, food, pharmaceutical, simulation, software development, and biotechnological and biorefining industries. In addition, it involves a large number of disciplines and areas of study, as well as time and length scales. This multidisciplinary character is a perfect breeding ground for establishing a strong collaboration among different research units in the university while strengthening the visibility outside the university.

ReCIPE is created to enhance the visibility of UCLouvain internationally as a reference university in Process Engineering research and education, bringing researchers from different sectors and institutes.
