Additional financial support
aide |
The UCLouvain Student Support Service offers one-off or regular financial support to help you throughout your academic career. This support is granted following an assessment of your social and financial situation by one of our social workers.
In what circumstances can you apply for financial support?
We can step in to support various areas of expenditure directly or indirectly linked to the success of your studies:
- The cost of studying: the purchase of your course materials (course notes, required books, IT equipment and specific teaching materials)
- Your daily life: support with your travel, accommodation (rent or rental deposit) or food costs
- Your health: a contribution towards medical costs not covered by your health insurance fund
- The summer preparatory courses: reimbursement of your enrolment fees for summer preparatory courses (BAC1) or courses specific to the health sector
On the Saint-Louis Brussels campus only:
- Period poverty: reimbursement of your purchases of sustainable, environmentally friendly period products
- Student job income : a job allowance to compensate for loss of income during exams
How do you submit an application?
It's simple, at no cost and entirely confidential:
- Go to our Downloads area page to find out which documents you need to submit your application
- Complete our online social support application form
- Make an appointment with a social worker on your campus to review your situation together and finalise your application
We make sure that your application is handled with the greatest care.
