Support for working students

Do you have no choice but to work to fund your studies?
At UCLouvain, we know that many of you are in this situation. Paying for accommodation, tuition fees, travel or teaching materials is a daily challenge.
But be careful: if your job takes up too much space, it is your academic success that is at risk.
If you work regularly (at least 10 hours per week) to fund your studies and you feel you are losing your footing with your courses, don't face this burden alone. Let's talk about it together.
The social work team of the Student Support Service is here to support you. During a confidential appointment, we will review your financial and family situation in order to:
- inform and advise you about the support available
- find practical solutions to lighten your financial burden
- help you reduce your working hours so that you can regain time and energy for your courses
The goal: to ensure that your job does not jeopardise your academic success.
Please note that for the Saint-Louis Brussels campus, support arrangements for working students may vary. Visit their financial support pages directly to find out more.
Looking for a student job? Use the official platform
If you need to work to fund your daily life, the university provides you with a secure, centralised tool.
We invite you to browse the vacancies and recruitment opportunities directly on the UCLouvain jobs platform.
You will find advertisements suited to student profiles, both on your campuses and nearby.
Important reminder: finding a job is an excellent step, but the platform is there to help you find employment, and our social work team is there to make sure that this work does not jeopardise your academic success.
