The Summer School will feature the following activities :
- Learner Corpus Colloquium (on the first day): presentations by participants
- Lectures on the following topics:
o General introduction to learner corpus research
o Learner corpus annotation
o Interpreting learner corpus data (developmental vs L1-induced factors)
o General introduction to phraseology
o Variationist approaches to phraseology
o Automatic extraction of multiword units
o Applications of learner corpus research (teaching and reference materials, spell- and grammar-checking, L1 identification, etc.)
- Hands-on sessions in the computer lab (exploration of learner corpora with a range of software tools)
- One-to-one sessions with members of the CECL team (design of individual projects).
