Chantal Dessy is the head of the Vascular Biology Laboratory at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Research (IREC) of UCLouvain. In recent years, C. Dessy and her group have made significant contributions to the understanding of the role of NO and EDHF in vascular pathophysiology.
Current research topics in the laboratory include the role of certain miRNAs on endothelial function in different diseases such as hypertension and certain endocrine disorders, as well as the evaluation of the corrective or aggravating effects of nutrition on vascular function.
Prof. C. Dessy is also the initiator of the physiology platform developed within the Institute for Experimental and Clinical Research.
