Read over and re-read this document several times to ensure that you have understood and accepted all the details;
Please take the time to call or visit the Donor Secretariat to have any questions or concerns answered. We sincerely appreciate having direct human contact with all our donors;
Complete the pledge form, carefully indicating the manner in which you wish to be buried or cremated, and the name(s) and contact information of the person(s) you have designated to contact the laboratory at the time of your death;
Fully inform your family and loved ones of your request and explain the purpose and motivation. Do not omit to mention to them the fact that, although donated to Science, your body will have to be cremated or buried after the scientific work and that the costs generated by these duties will be at their expense, as after any ordinary death;
If one of your motivations is precisely to avoid funeral expenses or administrative worries for those who will survive you, take the initiative yourself to settle the formalities in advance with a funeral company or through a funeral insurance;
Keep all the documents you exchange with us in a small file and store them in an easily accessible place so that everyone can easily find them if necessary. When you receive your donor card, put it in your wallet with your identification documents. It will bear the number of your pledge and the various contact details with the laboratory. This will make it much easier for you to contact the secretariat for the donation of bodies to science.
