Arnaud Duvieusart and Gilles Parez, young researchers at the IRMP, are the recipients of the prestigious Gustave Boël – Sofina Fellowships 2019.
These fellowships are awarded every year by the F.R.S.-FNRS, with the help of the Fondation Roi Baudouin, to PhD students with an outstanding academic record. for a research stay in a host institution abroad.
Arnaud is preparing a PhD in category theory (under the supervision of Prof. M. Gran), and will spend six months at the University of Utrecht, working in the research group of professor Ieke Moerdijk (http://www2.projects.science.uu.nl/Moerdijk/).
Gilles is doing a PhD in statistical physics (under the supervision of Prof. C. Hagendorf) and will spend six months at the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) in Trieste, joining the research group of professor Pasquale Calabrese (http://www.statphys.sissa.it/wordpress/).
