On the occasion of Enrico Vitale’s 60th birthday an international workshop on the interactions between algebra and category theory will take place on the 9th and 10th of September at the University of Milan.
Enrico’s scientific contributions in category theory and in algebra are acknowledged by this meeting that takes place at the university where he obtained his master degree, before coming to UCLouvain, where he was awarded the PhD in 1994.
Enrico is full professor of mathematics at the IRMP, and he served as Dean of the Faculty of Science from 2015 to 2021.
