The LSM Career Path

Discover the "LSM Career Path"!

The Louvain School of Management has developed a new Career Path for each of its students. Called the "LSM Career Path", it includes 5 steps of professional integration.

Its missions: to help students develop their professional project, then to find an internship and a job that meets their expectations.

The 5 steps of the route:

  1. I develop my managerial skills
  2. I am discovering the world of work
  3. I define my professional project
  4. I meet organizations and test jobs
  5. I'm going to go for it!

This course can be followed over the 2 years of the Master's degree. It is taken into account in the seminar programme

  1. development of relational and managerial skills
  2. gradual integration into the world of work.

In concrete terms, each student must participate in a "soft skills" workshop (Gold Activity) , as part of the 1st seminar in Master 1, and in 2 activities (Green and Blue Activities) in Master 1 or 2, as part of the second seminar.

Concerning Master 2 students:

- Students in Belgium all year round: Green activities are still available. The blue activities are full in Q1 so they will have to ask their internship to be absent (for academic activity) during their blue activity in Q2 (because these often take place during the day).

- Students abroad this Q1 and in Belgium in Q2: There is no problem for green activities. For the blues, they will also have to ask their internship to be absent (for academic activity) during their blue activity in Q2.

- Students in Belgium this Q1 and abroad this Q2: The green activity is still available this quadri. As the blue activities are complete this quadri, they must do the same type of activity abroad during Q2 and provide proof of their participation in this activity and their stay abroad.

- Students abroad all year round: They must do two activities (one blue and one green) of the same type abroad and provide proof of their participation in these activities and their stay abroad.

These activities and workshops are organized by the Career, Corporate & Events Office of the LSM.
