Wish to join the Louvain School of Management?
Here is everything you need to know to enroll at our school and apply to one of our Programmes
Important note: the Louvain School of Management is a faculty (department) of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain). Some processes are handled at the university level (UCLouvain), and others at the faculty level (LSM).
The LSM offers the following programmes on the Louvain-la-Neuve (LLN) site:
- Master's 120 ECTS in Business Engineering
- Master's 120 ECTS in Management
Choose between 2 focuses:- Professional focus with courses in different management disciplines (finance, marketing, strategy,...) and seminars
- Research focus for those wishing to prepare for a doctorate
- Advanced Masters 60 ECTS in European Business and Economic Policy
- Master's 60 ECTS in Management
- Master's 60 ECTS in Management (shift schedule)
If you wish to study at LSM in any of these programmes, you simply need to make an admission request. These programmes are not subject to any selection processes. As long as you meet the admission requirements (both LSM's and UCLouvain's), you will be able to study those programmes at LSM. You can find the generic admission requirements of those programmes in the dedicated pages linked above.
In addition to its generic Master's programmes, LSM offers several international opportunities called "Premium Programmes". Those programmes are embedded in our 120 ECTS Master's and can be studied with either the Master's in Management or the Master's in Business Engineering:
- The CEMS Master in International Management (CEMS)
- The International Business programme (IB)
- Several Double Degrees with our partner schools (DD)
These three Premium Programmes are always linked to one of our official Master's 120 ECTS in Management or Business Engineering. These Premium Programmes (CEMS, IB, and DD) are only available upon a specific selection process and are subject to stricter additional entry requirements (see point 2).
If you are not interested in those Premium Programmes, you can directly skip to point 3 to start your admission request and official enrollment to LSM.
2. Application & Selection (Premium Programmes only)
If you are interested in one of the three Premium Programmes (CEMS, IB, DD) you need to pass through a selection process first. Each programme has its own requirements and deadlines. For each of these Premium Programmes, you need to submit an application file and get an interview. Details and deadlines are available on the dedicated pages linked below. Be sure to check the application process of the programme of your choice:
In addition to the specific admission requirements of these Premium Programmes, you also need to comply with the generic admission requirements related to the Master's 120 ECTS of your choice, as the Premium Programmes are always linked to one of our 2 Master's 120 ECTS. Be sure to check that you meet those requirements as well before applying:
If you are selected for a Premium Programme (CEMS, IB or DD), you then need to enroll to the official Master's linked to your application: either the Master's 120 ECTS in Management or the Master's 120 ECTS in Business Engineering. See point 3 to start the official enrollment process. Your registration to the Premium Programme is solely handled by the LSM, not the UCLouvain administration. You will not find the Premium Programmes on the UClouvain online admission platform, only the official Master's titles.
3. Admission request and official UCLouvain enrollment
The official admission request and subsequent enrollment to our Master's is done online through the UCLouvain's Enrolment Office. A detailed step by step explanation is available under the video below to help you through the process.
Through this platform you can make an admission request (without any selection process) to the:
- Master's 120 ECTS in Business Engineering (LLN) (INGE2MS/G)
- Master's 120 ECTS in Management (LLN) (GEST2MS/GE for the professional focus and GEST2MA for the research focus)
- Advanced Masters 60 ECTS in European Business and Economic Policies (LLN) (EBEP2MC)
- Master's 60 ECTS in Management (LLN) (GEST2M1)
- Master's 60 ECTS in Management (shift schedule) (LLN) (GEHD2M1)
Important deadlines
The deadline to make your admission request to the university depends on two points: your nationality and your current place of residence. However, as with all administrative processes, the sooner you apply the better!
If you are:
- Non-European currently residing outside Belgium: 30 March
- European (incl. Belgian) currently residing outside Belgium: 13 September
- Non-European currently residing in Belgium: 13 September
- European (incl. Belgian) currently residing in Belgium and holding a Belgian diploma: 30 September
However, please DO NOT WAIT for the deadline and apply as soon as you can. The sooner you apply, the sooner you will have your student logins and access to our intranet.
You need to activate your student account and set up your online academic tools. You can find all the details and step-by-step process to do so here. After activating your account, you will have access to the LSM intranet which contains a lot of useful information for your time at LSM.
5. Register to your courses at LSM
At the start of the academic year in September, you need to register to your courses in three different ways:
- on Moodle (ASAP)
- on Teams (ASAP)
- on your MyUCL virtual desk --> this is the ONLY official course registration you need to do to make up your PAE (annual study programme). It has to be done as soon as you receive the email saying registration is open and before the end of September.
Please carefully read the instructions available on the intranet before registering to your courses. If you are not sure, the explanation available on the intranet will also tell you to which courses you need to register. Please note, your MyUCL account needs to be activated for you to have access to the LSM intranet (see point 4).
