The two open positions are linked to a large joint project between UCLouvain and UNamur with 6 promotors (Prof. C. Legrand, Prof G. Van Bever, Prof. A. El Ghouch, Prof. P. Lambert, Prof. E. Pircalabelu, Prof. I. Van Keilegom) and cover a wide range of subjects from more applied to more methodological research.

UCLouvain: PhD positions

The Center for Operations Research and Econometrics at the Université catholique de Louvain has multiple vacancies for PhD positions and post doctoral Research positions. research topics will focus on the application of operations research in power system operations and electricity market analysis, with a specific focus on sustainable growth through demand response and renewable energy integration. Candidates will specifically contribute to the execution of the research agenda of the ICEBERG ERC Starting Grant.

Doctoral researcher in the field of Development Economics / Political Economy

The doctoral project aims to study policies to mitigate violent conflict using state-of-the-art geospatial and econometric techniques.
The candidate will write a doctoral thesis under the supervision of Joseph Gomes and co-supervision of Alex Armand (Nova Lisbon).
