Options
In the first annual block, you are required to choose an option (15 credits). All options are annual, and most are taught during the second semester, but we ask you to pay close attention to the timetable when making your choice.
In the second annual block, you will choose a major (30 credits) and 10 credits of electives. Once again, you alone are responsible for ensuring that your schedules are compatible.
The internship will take place in the major, while the mobility courses will be encoded in the mobility application and in this case, you will not choose any main option, the main option will be the mobility.
In the first year, you will be required to take:
- core curriculum (30 credits)
- specialization (15 credits)
- an option, composed by 3 courses (15 credits) to be chosen from the list below.
In the second year, you will be required to take- a core course (5 credits)
- spacialization : thesis (15 credits)
- if you are not on exchange, a “main option” (30 credits)
- 2 elective courses (10 credits).The internship will replace a course in the main option, whereas mobility courses will be encoded in the MOB-I mobility application, in which case you will not need to choose a main option. All options are annual and are mostly taught during the second semester, but we ask you to be aware of the timetable when making your choice. You alone are responsible for ensuring that your timetable is compatible.

INEO, Interdisciplinary Program in Entrepreneurship
INEO is an option offered in 30 Master's programmes in 9 faculties at UCLouvain. In the Master in Law, you can take it as part of the professional focus: "Business Law". It involves writing an inter-faculty dissertation (as part of a team) on a business start-up project. To access this Master, students must have a good command of certain subjects. If this is not the case, in the first annual block of their Masters programme, students must take supplementary classes chosen by the faculty to satisfy course prerequisites.
The content of the additional module in law meets the requirements of the decree of the Government of the French Community of Belgium of August 30, 2017, commonly called "passerelles decree". The student must follow all of these courses.
