Dual degree student UCL/UNamur/UNIGE from 2013 to 2015
Applying to the joint degree between Louvain-la-Neuve and Geneva was the best choice I could have made after my Bachelor's degree. The programme allows to acquire excellent skills in market finance. Moreover, since it takes place in two economic schools, it also offers classes outside the scope of finance such as international trade or economic history.
During the first semester at the Economic School of Louvain, we learned to master many mathematical and econometrical techniques that we then applied to finance during the rest of the master. After this challenging semester, we spent an entire year at the University of Geneva where we had the opportunity to take classes with the best practicionners of the region.
Living in the city of Geneva has many advantages. In the summer, we spent most of our free time around the lake and in the winter we skied in the French Alps which are only one hour away from Geneva. Besides, the city is host for many international students which gave us the opportunity to make friends from all over the world.
After graduating, I have been hired as 'pricing consultant' where I have to price derivative products. In this job, I apply many things I learned during this programme.
