Each year, the Bernheim Foundation awards 6 scholarships to young French and Dutch-speaking Belgian university students to complete a 10-month internship in the field of European affairs.
We are proud to say that Loïc de Touzalin, an LSM student, joined the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU as a European Bernheim Trainees 2020 Laureate!
The laureates, designated by a jury of experts, have the opportunity to acquire a unique professional experience:
- 5 months, as close as possible to the inner workings of Europe, within the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- 5 months at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the European Union
Since its launch in 2003, this program has already been attended by some 90 young people, sixteen of whom have become diplomats.
